内容記述 | The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between health conditions and dietary habits of female students. The subjects of the analysis are 307 female students in Hyogo Prefecture. The survey was conducted in June 2008.The results obtained are as follows: 1) The mean rate for selecting 24 subjective symptoms was 48.1% and the average number of theselection was 11.5. 2) As to the conditions of dietary intake, a good many students skipped breakfast and drank soft-drinksexcessively. 3) With regard to the frequency of food intake, a number of the subjects were less likely to eat such basic foods as vegetables, fruits, milk, tofu/beans and seaweeds. 4) Those who had fewer light-colored vegetables, fruits and fish/meat were more likely to notice their symptoms. 5) Those whose nutrient balance scores were low were likely to skip breakfast and lunch. And those who had between-meal eating were more likely to notice their symptoms. 6) As to the health consciousness, those who have an unpleasant awakening, low self-assessment of health and fitness were more likely to notice their symptoms. In addition, those whose nutrient balance scores were low were likely to assess their bowel movements, appetite and health conditions as low. |
