スウェーデンにおける移民政策の現状と課題 Sweden's immigration policy : its status quo and problems 藤岡, 純一 Respect for human rights is one of the cornerstones of Sweden’s migration policy. Human rights apply throughout the world, irrespective of country, culture and association. Sweden has been accepting a large number of immigrants including refugees according to this basic idea. Different measures such as Swedish education, compulsory and upper secondary school, vocational training for adults and employment promotion have been taken for many years. Today about 14% of Swedish population is foreign-born.However, problems arise in educational achievements, employment rates, income they gain etc. This paper describes the status quo and problems of Sweden’s migration policy. New measures against the problems are also mentioned. So far there have been few papers in Japan on Swedish migration policy.
